Estonia 
Tugs and barges are not assisted to Pärnu. 
Icebreaker: EVA-316 is assisting to Pärnu Bay. 
Finland 
The Saimaa Canal is closed for traffic. 
Icebreaker: OTSO, KONTIO and SISU assist in the northern Bay of Bothnia. URHO is assisting in the 
southern Bay of Bothnia. VOIMA assists in the eastern Gulf of Finland. 
Norway 
Navigation in Langärsund (Kragerg) is temporarily closed. 
Russia 
Tow boat-barges are not assisted to St. Petersburg, Primorsk and Ust-Luga. 
Icebreaker: Low-powered vessels to St. Petersburg can be assisted at need by port icebreakers IVAN 
K*RUZENSTERN, YURI LISYANSKI, KAPITAN ZARUBIN, SEMYAN DEZNEV and KAPITAN SOROKIN, in 
‘he port Primorsk by icebreaker ERMAK. Low-powered vessel in the ports Vyborg and Vysotsk by 
cebreakers KAPITAN IZMAILOV and TOR. Low-powered vessels in port Ust-Luga are assisted by 
cebreaker KARU. 
Sweden 
Vessels not suitable for winter navigation, river vessels and tugs with barge can not expect governmental 
cebreaker assistance. 
All ships entering harbours in the Gulf of Bothnia shall, when passing Svenska Björn (N 59°33’ E 20° 01’) 
contact the VTS Gävle on VHF channel 84. 
Icebreaker: YMER and ATLE assist in the northern Bay of Bothnia. FREJ assists in the Quark. ALE assists 
n Lake Vänern. BALTICA assists in the Gävle Bay. 
No traffic through Western Quark is allowed.
