Südliche Ostsee 
Deutsche Küste: In den inneren Boddengewässern 
kommt örtlich dünnes Randeis und Eisschlamm vor. 
im Greifswalder Bodden kommt bei Thiessow in 
Küstennähe Neueis vor. In den Häfen Greifswald- 
Wieck und in der Dänischen Wiek liegt dünnes 
Randeis, außerhalb davon treibt dünnes Eis. Im 
Kleinen Haff dichtes bis sehr dichtes 10 cm dickes 
ris, das im Südteil zusammen- und übereinander: 
geschoben ist. - Polnische Küste: Im Hafen 
Swinoujscie offenes Wasser. Im Haff, im Fahr- 
wasser Szczecin — Swinoujscie und im Hafen 
Szczecin sehr lockeres 5-10 cm dickes Eis. 
Mittlere und Nördliche Ostsee 
Lettische Küste: Eisfrei. - Russische Küste: In der 
Zufahrt nach Kaliningrad liegt 10-15 cm dickes 
Festeis, außerhalb davon etwas Treibeis. - 
Schwedische Küste: In geschützten Buchten und 
Schären kommt dünnes ebenes Eis oder Neueis 
vor. Mälarsee: Mit 15-30 cm dickem Festeis oder 
ebenem Eis bedeckt. 
Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Pärnu Bucht liegt bis zur 
Linie Kap Liusaare - Kap Suurna 20-27 cm dickes 
Festeis. Außerhalb davon kommt bis zur Breite der 
insel Kihnu sehr dichtes 5-15 cm dickes Eis vor. Im 
Moonsund liegt in der Küstenzone 10-25 cm dickes 
Festeis, außerhalb davon treibt dichtes bis sehr 
dichtes, 5-15 cm dickes Eis. - Lettische Küste: Im 
Fahrwasser zwischen Riga und Irbenstraße kommt 
sehr lockeres Neueis vor, sonst eisfrei. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Die Eisgrenze verläuft etwa auf der Linie Ust-Narva 
- Insel MoSEnyj —- südlich Sommers — Orrengrund. 
Estnische Küste: In der Kundabucht kommt in 
Küstennähe Neueis vor. - Finnische Küste: In den 
inneren Schären 5-20 cm dickes Festeis, außerhalb 
davon liegt von Kotka und Hamina bis Lälättan und 
Haapasaari sehr dichtes dünnes Eis und Neueis. - 
Russische Küste: In den Häfen von St. Petersburg 
dichtes, 15-25 cm dickes Eis. Weiter westwärts liegt 
im Fahrwasser bis zur Länge von Kronstadt 20-35 
cm dickes Festeis. Weiter bis zur Länge von 
Krasnaja Gorka treibt dichtes 15-30 cm dickes Eis, 
und bis zur Länge vom Kap Ustinskij kommt Neueis 
vor. Anschließend bis zur Länge von Malyj sehr 
dichtes 10-20 cm dickes Eis, dann bis zur Länge von 
Mo$S6gnyj Neueis. - Die Vyborgbucht ist mit 15-30 cm 
dickem Festeis bedeckt, außerhalb davon kommt bis 
zur Breite des Leuchtturms Sommers sehr dichtes 
10-20 cm dickes Eis vor, dann bis etwa 6010'N 
Neueis, - Im Berkezund liegt dichtes 5-15 cm dickes 
Eis, in der Zufahrt kommt sehr dichtes 10-20 cm 
dickes Eis vor. - In der Luga und der Corpora Bucht 
liegt 5-10 cm dickes, zusammen geschobenes Eis 
an den Küsten, außerhalb davon kommt Neueis vor.

Southern Baltic 
German Coast: In the inner Bodden waters there 
is thin ice and slush near the shore. In the 
Greifswalder Bodden there is new ice near the 
zoast around Thiessow. In the harbours of 
Greifswald-Wieck and in the Dänische Wiek there 
is thin ice in marginal areas and farther out thin ice 
is drifting. Kleines Haff is covered with close to very 
slose 10 cm thick ice, that is compacted and rafted 
ın the southern part. - Polish Coast: Open water in 
the harbour of Swinoujscie. In Stettiner Haff, on the 
fairway Szczecin — Swinoujscie and in the harbour 
of Szezecin there is very open 5-10 cm tick ice. 
Central and Northern Baltic 
Latvian Coast: Ice-free. - Russian Coast: In the 
entrance to Kaliningrad there is 10-15 cm thick fast 
ice, off the fast ice some drift ice is found. - 
Swedish coast: In sheltered bays and 
archipelagos there is thin level ice or new ice. Lake 
Mälaren: Covered by 15-30 cm thick fast ice or 
level ice. 
Gulf of Riga 
Estonian Coast: In the Pärnu Bay there is to the 
ine Cape Liusaare —- Cape Suurna 20-27 cm thick 
“ast ice. Farther out up to latitude of island Kihnu 
ihere is very close 5-15 cm thick ice. In the coastal 
zone of the Moonsund there is 10-25 cm thick fast 
ice, farther off close to very close 5-15 cm thick ice. 
- Latvian Coast: On the fairway between Riga and

thick ice. - In the Luga Bay and the Corpora Bay 
there is compact 5-10 cm thick ice along the coasts, 
farther out new ice occurs.
