Übersicht 
Das Eis in der Bottenvik und in Norra Kvarken treibt 
:angsam nordwärts, sonst setzt sich die Eisbildung 
ım nördlichen Ostseeraum fort. 
Mit Wirkung vom 16. Februar werden die 
Schifffahrtsbeschränkungen für die finnischen Häfen 
Kokkola, Pietarsaari und Kaskinen sowie für die 
schwedischen Häfen an der MNordküste der 
Bottensee verschärft, für die schwedischen Häfen 
an der Südküste der Bottensee werden sie neu 
eingeführt. 
Overview 
The ice in the Bay of Bothnia and in Norra Kvarken 
‚Ss Slowly drifting towards north, else ice formation in 
the northern region of the Baltic Sea continues. 
Valid from 16 February, the restrictions to 
navigation for the Finnish harbours Kokkola, 
Dietarsaari and Kaskinen as well as for the 
Swedish harbours at the northern coast of the Sea 
of Bothnia will be increased, for the Swedish 
harbours at the southern coast of the Sea of 
Bothnia restrictions will be introduced. 
Skagerrak, Kattegat and Belt Sea 
Norwegian Coast: In some sheltered bays there is 
very open thin ice, in Mossesund open water. In 
Drammensfjorden there is very close to compact 
15-30 cm thick ice with a lead; navigation is 
possible only for high-powered vessels. In the 
«ragero region there is 10-15 cm thick fast ice in 
1angärsund. In Kilsfjorden there is 15-30 cm thick 
very close or compact drift ice, navigation proceeds 
n lead without the assistance of an icebreaker. - 
Swedish Coast: - Lake Vänern: At the northern 
coast there is 10-20 cm thick fast ice. Farther south 
thin level ice or new ice occurs in sheltered bays 
along the coast. 
Skagerrak, Kattegat und Beltsee 
Norwegische Küste: In einigen geschützten 
Buchten kommt sehr lockeres dünnes Eis, im 
Mossesund offenes Wasser vor. Im Drammensfjord 
ijegt sehr dichtes bis kompaktes 15-30 cm dickes Eis 
nit einer vorhandenen Rinne; Schifffahrt ist nur für 
Schiffe mit hoher Maschinenleistung möglich. Im 
3ereich Kragerg kommt im Langärsund 10-15 cm 
dickes Festeis vor. Im Kilsfjorden 15-30 cm dickes 
zusammengeschobenes oder sehr dichtes Treibeis, 
Schifffahrt verläuft in einer Rinne ohne Eisbrecher- 
Anterstützung. - Schwedische Küste: - Vänersee’ 
An der Nordküste liegt 10-20 cm dickes Festeis. 
Weiter südlich kommt in den geschützten Buchten 
entlang der Küste dünnes ebenes Eis oder Neueis 
Vor. 
Westliche Ostsee 
Deutsche Küste: Die Boddengewässer südlich vom 
Darß und Zingst sind mit etwa 5 cm dickem Eis und 
Neueis bedeckt. 
Western Baltic 
German Coast: The Bodden waters south of Darß 
and Zingst are partly covered by about 5 cm thick 
ice and new ice.
