Kleinen Haff dichtes bis sehr dichtes, teilweise über- 
einandergeschobenes 10 cm dickes Eis. - 
Polnische Küste: Im Hafen Swinoujscie offenes 
Wasser. Im Haff lockeres Eis, im Fahrwasser 
Szczecin —- Swinoujscie sehr lockeres Eis, beides 5- 
10cm dick. Im Hafen Szezecin kommt lockeres 5-10 
cm dickes Eis vor. 
ice-free. Kleines Haff is covered with close to very 
close, partly rafted, 10 cm thick ice. - Polish 
Coast: Open water in the harbour of Swinoujscie. 
In Stettiner Haff there is 5-10cm tick, open ice. On 
the fairway Szczecin —- Swinoujscie very open ice, 
5-10cm thick. In the harbour of Szczecin there is 
open 5-10 cm thick ice. 
Central and Northern Baltic 
Latvian Coast: Ice-free. - Russian Coast: In the 
entrance to Kaliningrad there is 10-15 cm thick fast 
ice, off the fast ice some drift ice is found. - 
Swedish coast: In sheltered bays and 
archipelagos there is thin level ice or new ice. Lake 
Mälaren: In the western and central part there is 
10-25 cm thick fast ice. Farther eastwards 10-15 
cm thick level ice occurs. Bjorkfjärden is partly 
covered by new ice. 
Gulf of Riga 
Estonian Coast: In the Pärnu Bay, out from Pärnu 
until the line from Cape Liu to Cape Suurna, there 
is 15-25 cm thick fast ice and close drift ice. Farther 
out up to latitude of island Kihnu there is new ice 
and to the south there is open water. In the coastal 
zone of the Moonsund there is 10-15 cm thick fast 
ice, farther off close, 5-15cm thick ice. - Latvian 
Coast: In the fairway between Mersrags and Irben 
Strait there is open water, else ice free. 
Gulf of Finland 
The ice edge runs along about the line Ust-Narva — 
island Malyj — Haapasaari - Rankki. 
Estonian Coast: In the Bay of Kunda there is new 
ice near to the coast. - Finnish Coast: In the inner 
archipelago there is 5-15 cm thick fast ice, farther 
off for 2-5 nm thin ice and new ice. Outside of 
Kotka and Hamina thin, very close ice to the line 
Rankki - Haapasaari.- Russian Coast: In the 
harbours of St. Petersburg there is close 15-25 cm 
thick ice. Farther westwards on the fairway there is 
first 20-35 cm thick fast ice up to the longitude of 
Kronstadt, then out to the longitude of Cape Ustinskij 
very close 15-30 cm thick drift ice. Farther off very 
close 10-20 cm thick ice to the longitude of Cape 
Kurgalskij and then new ice occurs up to the 
longitude of island Malyj. - The Vyborg Bay is 
covered with 15-30 cm thick fast ice, farther off there 
is 10-20cm thick very close ice up a latitude of 
60°20'N and then very close, 10-20cm thick ice to a 
latitude 60°15'N. - In the Berkezund there is 5-15 cm 
thick close ice and in the entrance there is very close 
10-20 cm thick ice. - In the Luga Bay and the 
Corpora Bay there is compact 5-10 cm thick ice 
along the coasts, farther out and in the entrances 
there is close. 5-15 cm thick ice. 
Mittlere und Nördliche Ostsee 
Lettische Küste: Eisfrei. - Russische Küste: In der 
Zufahrt nach Kaliningrad liegt 10-15 cm dickes 
Festeis, außerhalb davon etwas Treibeis. - 
Schwedische Küste: In geschützten Buchten und 
Schären kommt dünnes ebenes Eis oder Neueis 
vor. Mälarsee: Im westlichen und zentralen Teil liegt 
10-25 cm dickes Festeis. Weiter östlich kommt 10- 
15 cm dickes ebenes Eis vor. Bjorkfjärden ist örtlich 
mit Neueis bedeckt. 
Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Pärnu Bucht liegt 15-25 cm 
dickes Festeis sowie dichtes Treibeis von Pärnu bis 
zur Linie von Kap Liu zu Kap Suurna. Außerhalb 
davon kommt bis zur Breite der Insel Kihnu Neueis 
vor, weiter südlich offenes Wasser. Im Moonsund in 
der Küstenzone 10-15 cm dickes Festeis, außerhalb 
davon dichtes, 5-15cm dickes Treibeis. - Lettische 
Küste: Im Fahrwasser zwischen Mersrags und 
Irbenstraße offenes Wasser, ansonsten eisfrei. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Die Eisgrenze verläuft etwa auf der Linie Ust-Narva 
- Insel Malyj - Haapasaari - Rankki. 
Estnische Küste: In der Kundabucht kommt in 
Küstennähe Neueis vor. - Finnische Küste: In den 
inneren Schären liegt 5-15 cm dickes Festeis, 
außerhalb davon auf 2-5 sm dünnes Eis und Neueis. 
Außerhalb Kotka und Hamina liegt sehr dichtes, 
dünnes eis bis zur Linie Rankki - Haapasaari. - 
Russische Küste: In den Häfen von St. Petersburg 
dichtes 15-25 cm dickes Eis. Weiter westwärts 
kommt im Fahrwasser erst bis zur Länge von 
Kronstadt 20-35 cm dickes Festeis, dann bis zur 
_änge vom Kap Ustinskij sehr dichtes 15-30 cm 
dickes Treibeis. Anschließend tritt sehr dichtes 10- 
20 cm dickes Eis bis zur Länge vom Kap Kurgalskij 
auf und weiter westwärts kommt bis zur Länge der 
insel Malyj Neueis vor. - Die Vyborgbucht ist mit 15- 
30 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt, außerhalb davon 
kommt 10-20 cm dickes Eis vor, bis etwa 60°20'N 
sehr dichtes, dann bis 60°15'N dichtes Eis. - Im 
Berkezund liegt dichtes 5-15 cm dickes Eis, in der 
Zufahrt kommt sehr dichtes, 10-20 cm dickes Eis 
vor. - In der Luga und der Corpora Bucht zusam- 
mengeschobenes 5-10 cm dickes Eis an den 
Küsten, außerhalb davon und in den Einfahrten liegt 
dichtes, 5-15 cm dickes Eis. 
Älandsee 
In geschützten Buchten und Schären liegt dünnes 
ebenes Eis oder Neueis.
