Finnische Küste: Zwischen Vaasa und Ensten
xommt 10-25 cm dickes Festeis, weiter außerhalb
bis zur schwedischen Küste Neueis vor. -
Schwedische Küste: In den Buchten und Häfen
entlang der Küste sowie um Holmöarna liegt 10-25
cm dickes ebenes Eis, auf See kommt Neueis und
Eisbrei vor.
Bottenvik
Die Eisgrenze verläuft etwa auf der Linie Skellefteä
—- 5sm südlich Falkensgrund —- 20 sm westlich von
\ahkiainen — Pietarsaarl.
Finnische Küste: Die nördlichen Schären sind mit
25-50 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. Außerhalb der
Festeisgrenze liegt bis zur Länge von Ulkokalla
dünnes ebenes Eis und Neueis. Anschließend
<ommt bis zur Linie Simpgrundet — Nahkiainen sehr
dichtes 15-25 cm dickes Treibeis vor, welches von
\leueis umrandet wird. In den südlichen inneren
Schären 10-35 cm dickes Eis, außerhalb davon
treibt dichtes dünnes Eis und AXNeueis. -
Schwedische Küste: In den nördlichen Schären 20-
50 cm dickes Festeis. In der Zufahrt nach Luleä
jegen noch Reste vom festgestampften Eis.
Außerhalb davon liegt bis zur Eisgrenze 5-25cm
dickes, dichtes bis sehr dichtes Eis sowie 5-20cm
dickes ebenes Eis mit Rinnen. In den südlichen
Schären und dicht an der Küste tritt 10-30 cm dickes
ebenes Eis auf.
Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung
Ein Hochdruckgebiet über Nordrussland wird das
Wetter im nördlichen Ostseeraum im weiteren
Verlauf dieser Woche bestimmen. Bei schwachen
Winden und mäßigem Dauerfrost wird sich die
=isbildung im nördlichen Bottnischen Meerbusen
Und im Finnischen Meerbusen bis zum Wochenende
fortsetzen, und auch weiter südlich und westlich
<ommt es an geschützten Stellen zu Neueisbildung.

Finnish Coast: Between Vaasa and Ensten there
is 10-25 cm thick fast ice. Farther out new ice
occurs all the way to the Swedish coast. - Swedish
Coast: In bays and harbours along the coast and
around Holmöarna there is 10-25 cm thick level ice,
at sea there is new ice and shuga.
Bay of Bothnia
The ice edge runs approximately along the line
Skelleftei — 5nm south of Falkensgrund -20 mm
west of Nahkiainen — Pietarsaari.
Finnish Coast: The northern archipelagos are
covered with 25-50 cm thick fast ice. Off the fast
ice edge there is to the longitude of Ulkokalla thin
level ice and new ice. Farther out to the line
Simpgrundet — Nahkiainen there is very close 15-
25 cm thick drift ice surrounded by new ice. In the
southern inner archipelagos there is 10-35 cm thick
ice, farther out close thin ice and new ice is drifting.
- Swedish Coast: In the northern archipelago there
is 20-50 cm thick fast ice. In the entrance to Luleä
there are remnants of brash ice barriers. Farther
off, up to the ice edge, there is close and very close
5-25 cm thick ice as well as 5-20cm thick level ice
with leads. In the southern archipelagos and farther
out close to the coast there is 10-30 cm thick level
ice.
Expected Ice Development
The weather in the northern region of the Baltic
Sea will be set by a high pressure area over
northern Russia for the rest of this week. At weak
winds and moderate permanent frost ice formation
in the northern Gulf of Bothnia and in the Gulf of
>inland will continue until the week-end. In
sheltered places new ice will also be forming in
regions farther south and farther west.
