Finnische Küste: Zwischen Vaasa und Ensten

als Norrskär sehr lockeres Treibeis und Neueis vor. - 
Schwedische Küste: In den Buchten und Häfen 
antlang der Küste sowie um Holmöarna liegt 10-25 
m dickes ebenes Eis, weiter außerhalb Neueis und 
Neueisbildung. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnish Coast: Between Vaasa and Ensten there 
s 10-25 cm thick fast ice. Farther out to Norrskär 
there is very open drift ice and new ice. - Swedish 
Coast: In bays and harbours along the coast and 
around Holmöarna there is 10-25 cm thick level ice, 
farther out new ice and new ice formation. 
Bottenvik 
Finnische Küste: Die nördlichen Schären sind mit 
25-50 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. Außerhalb der 
Festeisgrenze verläuft ein 5-10 sm breite, mit Neueis 
Dedeckte Rinne, anschließend kommt bis etwa 20 
sm südwestlich von Kemi 1 15-25 cm dickes sehr 
dichtes Treibeis und Neueis vor. Südlich davon tritt 
dis zur Länge von Ulkokkala dichtes Treibeis und 
Neueis auf. In den südlichen inneren Schären 10-30 
cm dickes Eis, außerhalb davon treibt lockeres 
dünnes Eis und Neueis. - Schwedische Küste: In 
den nördlichen Schären 20-50 cm dickes Festeis. In 
den Einfahrten nach Piteäa und Luleä liegt dichtes 
Treibeis mit festgestampftem Eis an seinem Rand. 
Außerhalb davon bis etwa Falkensgrund Neueis und 
Neueisbildung. In den südlichen Schären und dicht 
an der Küste tritt 10-30 cm dickes ebenes Eis auf. 
Bay of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: The northern archipelagos are 
covered with 25-50 cm thick fast ice. Off the fast 
ce edge there is first a 5-10 nm wide lead covered 
with new ice, then to approximately 20 nm 
southwest of Kemi 1 15-25 cm thick very close drift 
ce and new ice. Farther south approximately to the 
ongitude of Ulkokalla there is close drift ice and 
ı1ew ice. In the southern inner archipelagos there is 
10-30 cm thick ice, farther out open thin ice and 
ı1ew ice is drifting. - Swedish Coast: In the 
northern archipelago there is 20-50 cm thick fast 
ice. In the entrances to Pitea and Luleä there is 
olose drift ice with brash ice barriers at its edge. 
Farther off new ice and new ice formation 
approximately to Falkensgrund. In the southern 
archipelagos and farther out close to the coast 
there is 10-30 cm thick level ice. 
Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung 
Ein Hochdruckgebiet über Nordrussland wird das 
Netter im Ostseeraum im Verlauf dieser Woche 
Jestimmen. Bei schwachen Winden und mäßigem 
Dauerfrost wird sich die Eisbildung im nördlichen 
Bottnischen Meerbusen fortsetzen, im Finnischen 
Meerbusen und an den Küsten des Rigaischen 
Meerbusens setzt die Eisbildung in der zweiter 
Wochenhälfte wieder ein. 
Expected Ice Development 
The weather in the region of the Baltic Sea will be 
set by a high pressure area over northern Russia in 
the course of this week. At weak winds and 
nNoderate permanent frost ice formation in the 
1orthern Gulf of Bothnia will continue. In the Gulf of 
Finland and on the coasts of the Gulf of Riga ice 
formation will start again within the second half of 
this week.
