Finnische Küste: In den nördlichen inneren Schären
kommt 5-20 cm dickes Festeis vor. Außerhalb davon
liegt ein schmaler Gürtel aus sehr dichtem Treibeis
und treiben Eisbreiklümpchen. - Schwedische
Küste: In den nördlichen inneren Schären Festeis
oder kompaktes Eis, 5-20 cm dick. Außerhalb davon
kommt überwiegend offenes Wasser vor.
Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung
Zwischen einem Tiefdruckgebiet über der
Norwegischen See und einem umfangreichen
Hochdruckgebiet über Mitteleuropa und Russland
gelangt in den nächsten zwei Tagen verhältnismäßig
milde Meeresluft in den Ostseeraum. Die Eisbildung
ım nördlichen Ostseeraum wird daher gering bleiben.
In der Bottenvik kann das dünne Eis durch starke
südwestliche Winde an der _MNordostküste
zusammengeschoben werden.
Zum Beginn der nächsten Woche verlagert sich das
Tiefdruckgebiet von der Norwegischen See ostwärts,
und auf seiner Rückseite fließt vom Norden her
polare Kaltluft in den Ostseeraum ein, die
anschließend unter Hochdruckeinfluss gelangt. Dann
ist zuerst an den Küsten des nördlichen Bottnischen
Meerbusens und östlichen Finnischen Meerbusens
mit Eisbildung zu rechnen.

Finnish Coast: In the northern inner archipelago
here is 5-20 cm thick fast ice. Farther off there is a
narrow belt of very close drift ice and shuga. -
Swedish Coast: In the northern inner archipelago
fast ice or compact drift ice, 5-20 cm thick. Farther
off there is mostly open water.
Expected Ice Development
Between a deep low over the Norwegian Sea and
an extensive high area over Central Europe and
Russia mild maritime air will penetrate into the
region of the Baltic Sea within the next two days.
Therefore, no major ice formation will be expected
n the northern region of the Baltic Sea in this time.
In the Bay of Bothnia thin ice will be compacted on
the northern-east coast due to strong southwesterly
Ninds.
At the beginning of the coming week, the low over
the Norwegian Sea will shift eastwards, and on its
‘ear site cold polar air will penetrate over the region
of the Baltic Sea from the north. Following, this air
will get under the influence of high pressure.
Therefore ice formation is to be expected first at the
coasts of the northern part of the Gulf of Bothnia
and of the eastern part of the Gulf of Finland.
