nördlichen inneren Schären Festeis oder kompaktes 
Eis, 5-15 cm dick. Außerhalb davon treibt dünnes 
lockeres Eis.

Finnish Coast: In the northern inner archipelago

Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung 
Die Ostsee liegt im Einflussbereich eines 
umfangreichen Hochdruckgebietes über Nordsee. An 
den Küsten des nördlichen Bottnischen Meerbusens 
und im östlichen Finnischen Meerbusen ist in den 
nächsten zwei Tagen keine wesentliche Eiszunahme 
zu erwarten, da mit Winden aus westlichen 
Richtungen weiterhin mildere Luft in den nördlichen 
Ostseeraum einfließt. 
Expected Ice Development 
The Baltic Sea will be influenced by an extensive 
nigh pressure area which is situated over the North 
Sea. At the coasts of the northern Gulf of Bothnia 
and in the eastern Gulf of Finland no essential ice 
increase will be expected during the next two days, 
as a milder air will further penetrate into the 
northern region of the Baltic Sea from the west.
