Übersicht 
Das Eis in der Bottenvik treibt langsam nordwärts 
und nimmt in den südlichen Randbereichen ab. 
Overview 
The ice in the Bay of Bothnia is slowly drifting 
northwards and is decreasing in the southern 
marginal areas. 
Gulf of Finland 
Finnish Coast: In the inner archipelagos there is thin 
‘ce, in places. On the Saimaa lake as well as in the 
Saimaa Canal there is 10-40 cm thick ice. Russian 
Coast: The harbours of St. Petersburg are ice-free. 
Farther out on the fairway from Petrodvorec up to the 
'ongitude of the western point of island Kotlin there is 
compact, partly hummocked 10-25 cm thick ice. West 
of it and north of the Cap Seraja LoSad' there is open 
water. - In Berkezund there is compact 5-15 cm thick 
ice, the entrance is ice-free. - The Vyborg Bay is 
covered by 15-20 cm thick fracturing fast ice and 
compact 5-15 cm thick ice, the entrance is ice-free. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären kommt 
Srtlich dünnes Eis vor. Auf dem Saimaa See sowie 
im Saimaa Kanal 10-40 cm dickes Eis. Russische 
Küste: Die Häfen von St. Petersburg sind eisfrei. 
Weiter westwärts tritt im Fahrwasser von 
Petrodvorec bis zur Länge von Westspitze der Inseı 
Kotlin kompaktes, teilweise hügelig aufgepresstes 
10-25 cm dickes Eis auf. Westlich davon und 
nördlich vom Kap Seraja LoS$ad' kommt offenes 
Wasser vor. - Im Berkezund liegt kompaktes 5-15 cm 
dickes Eis, die Einfahrt ist eisfrei. - Die Vyborgbucht 
ist mit zerbrechendem 15-20 cm dicken Festeis und 
kompaktem 5-15 cm dicken Eis bedeckt, die Einfahrt 
ist eisfrei. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt örtlich 
dünnes Eis. Schwedische Küste: Der nördliche 
Ängermanälv ist mit 10-20 cm dickem Festeis 
vedeckt. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnische Küste: Zwischen Vaasa und Storhästen 
liegt 10-30 cm dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon 
reiben einige Eisschollen. Schwedische Küste: In 
der Einfahrt nach Holmsund liegt teilweise dichtes 5- 
10 cm dickes Eis. Auf See kommt überwiegend 
offenes Wasser vor

Norra Kvarken 
Finnish Coast: Between Vaasa and Storhästen 
there is 10-30 cm thick fast ice, farther out some ice 
[loes are drifting. Swedish Coast: In the entrance 
to Holmsund there is partly close ice, 5-10 cm thick. 
At sea mostly open water occurs.
