Übersicht 
Mit einer nordwestlichen Strömung fließt kältere Luft 
n den n6rdlichen Ostseeraum ein. An der 
schwedischen Bottenvikküste herrschte heute früh 
eichter bis mäßiger Frost. In der nördlichen 
Bottenvik bildet sich außerhalb der Festeiskante 
Neueis. 
Mittlere und Nördliche Ostsee 
Schwedische Küste: - Mälarsee: Eisfrei. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Russische Küste: In den Häfen von St. Petersburg 
reiben Streifen mit sehr lockerem dünnen Eis, 
Weiter im Fahrwasser bis zur Länge von Koltlin 
kommt kompaktes 5-15 cm dickes, teilweise 
übereinandergeschobenes Eis und Bereiche mit 
offenem Wasser vor. Das dünne Eis wird gegen die 
Nordküste gepresst. - Die geschützten Bereiche in 
der inneren Vyborgbucht sind mit 10-15 cm dickem 
Festeis bedeckt, im Fahrwasser treiben Streifen mit 
dünnem Eis. 
Bottensee 
Schwedische Küste: Auf dem Ängermanälv kommt 
nördlich der Sandöbrücke 5-10 cm dickes Festeis 
und lockeres Treibeis vor. 
Bottenvik 
Finnische Küste: In den nördlichen Schären kommt 
5-12 cm dickes Festeis oder kompaktes Treibeis vor. 
- Schwedische Küste: In den nördlichen Schären 5- 
15 cm dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon Neueis und 
Neueisbildung

Overview 
Colder air is penetrating from the Northwest over 
the northern region of the Baltic Sea. Today 
morning, light to moderate frost was registered on 
the Swedish coast in the Bay of Bothnia. Off the 
fast ice in the northern Bay of Bothnia new ice has 
started to form again. 
Central and Northern Baltic 
Swedish coast: - Lake Mälaren: Ice-free. 
Gulf of Finland 
Russian Coast: In the harbours of St. Petersburg 
strips of very open thin ice are drifting. Farther out on 
the fairway up to the longitude of Kotlin there is 
compact 5-15 cm thick ice, partly rafted and areas 
with open water. Thin ice is under pressure against 
Ihe northern coast. - Sheltered areas in the top of 
Vyborg Bay are covered by 10-15 cm thick fast ice, 
on the fairway strips with thin ice are drifting. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Swedish Coast: On the Ängermanälv north of the 
Sandö Bridge there is 5-10 cm thick fast ice and 
open drift ice. 
Bay of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the northern archipelago there is 
3-12 cm thick fast ice or compact drift ice. - 
Swedish Coast: In the northern archipelago 5-15 
cm thick fast ice, farther off new ice and new ice 
formation
