Norra Kvarken 
Finnische Küste: Zwischen Vaasa und Storhästen 
liegt dünnes Eis. Schwedische Küste: In der 
Einfahrt nach Holmsund kommt dünnes Eis, 
außerhalb davon Neueis vor. 
Bottenvik 
Finnische Küste: In den nördlichen inneren Schären 
25-40 cm dickes Festeis. Außerhalb Kemi bis Kemi 
1 kommt 10-30 cm dickes sehr dichtes Eis vor. 
Außerhalb Oulu bis Oulun Portti tritt 10-30 cm dickes 
sehr dichtes, teilweise aufgepresstes Eis auf. 
Außerhalb Raahe Neueis. Die Eisgrenze verläuft 
etwa von Malören über Oulun Portti zum Raahe- 
Leuchtturm. In den südlichen Schären liegt dünnes 
zis. Schwedische Küste: In den nördlichen Schären 
-esteis, 15-40 cm dick. Außerhalb davon kommen 
Bereiche mit sehr dichtem 10-20 cm dicken Eis 
sowie 3-8 cm dickes Eis und Neueis vor. Die 
Eisgrenze verläuft von Norströmsgrund nordostwärts 
in Richtung Malören. Zwischen Piteä und Skellefteä 
tritt entlang der Küste Neueis auf. 
Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung 
Im nördlichen Ostseeraum ist bis zum Wochenende 
Dei Zeitweise starken Winden aus südlichen 
Zichtungen mit windbedingten Anderungen der 
Eislage zu rechnen. Das Eis in der nördlichen 
Bottenvik und im östlichen Finnischen Meerbusen 
wird an den MNordküsten zusammengeschoben, 
zeitweise sind Eispressungen möglich.

'hin ice. Swedish Coast: In the entrance to 
Holmsund there is thin ice, farther off new ice 
OCCursS. 
Bay of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the northern inner archipelago 
25-40 cm thick fast ice. Off Kemi to Kemi 1 there is 
10-30 cm thick very close ice. Off Oulu to Oulun 
Portti there is 10-30 cm thick very close, partly 
idged ice. There is new ice off Raahe. The ice 
3dge runs approximately from Malören via Oulun 
Portti to Raahe lighthouse. In the southern 
archipelago there is thin ice. Swedish Coast: In the 
northern archipelago fast ice, 15-40 cm thick. 
Farther off there are areas with very close 10-20 cm 
ihick ice as well as 3-8 cm thick ice and new ice. 
The ice edge runs from MNorströmsgrund 
northeastwards to Malören. Between Piteäa and 
Skellefteä there is new ice along the coast. 
Expected Ice Development 
In the northern region of the Baltic Sea partly strong 
winds from southerly directions and wind induced 
changes of the ice situation are to be expected till 
the week-end. The ice in the northern Bay of 
Bothnia and in the eastern part of the Gulf of 
Finland will be compacted at the northern coasts. At 
times, ice pressure is possible.
