at intervals of 30 seconds, was exhibited on the evening of the 1st instant, from the light house on the Wolf rock, and will henceforth be continued every evening from sunset to sunrise. The light burns at an elevation of 110 feet above the mean level of high water, illuminates the entire circle, and will be vi sible in clear weather at a distance of about 16 miles. A modificazione dell'Avviso No. 68 in data 16 Settembre 1864, si avvertono i naviganti che a datare dal 20 corrente, l’apparecchio illuminante del faro di Capo Caccia sulla costa occidentale dell’ isola di Sardegna è a ilice Jissa bianca variata ila lampi rossi ili quattro in quattro minuti. L'apparecchio è dii Urico o lenticolare di 2. ordine, e della portata di 26 miglia. Il punto ardente è elevato 186 metri sul livello dei mare. L'al tezza della torre compresa la lanterna è di 25 metri, e dista 7 metri dalla parte poste riore del fabbricato che serve di abitazione ai guardiani — La torre ed il fabbricato sono di colore bianco, la cupola della lanterna è del colore oscuro del rame non levigato. La posizione di detto tinaie, dedotta dalla triangolazione dell’ isola di Sardegna eseguita dal Generale La Marmora, c latitudine 40 33' 34" N. e longitudine 8 9' 51) ' E. del me ridiano di Greenwieh.
