in the surface water was continuously recorded during a research cruise.
Dissolved organic phosphorus compounds were separated and it resulted that
the water in the German Bight contains at least 5 organic phosphorus com
pounds. New stations for sea state measurements were established in the
North and Baltic Seas under making use of the drilling rigs. So the fixed
measuring stations extend from the deep water of the open North Sea to the
tidal lands. Owing to the preparations and the participation in the "Meteor
Atlantic Expedition, 1965", the work at sea formed the main part of the
oceanographic activities.
