lume of tide tables was published in 1978. 
15 permits to dump waste in the high seas and 4 permits to incinerate waste mate 
rials on the high seas were granted. In connection with the research work and ex 
ploitation on the German continental shelf the DHI likewise granted several per 
mits and extended existing permits. 
The Deutsches Ozeanographisch.es Datenzentrum, organisationally attached to 
the DHI, extended its data archive to approximately 7 million items of physical 
and chemical measurement data.
